Hello my name is Jessica Knight....

I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker and the proud owner of Flourish Therapeutic Services. My educational journey includes a Bachelor's degree in Social Work from Rhode Island College and a Master's degree in Social Work from Simmons University. With over ten years of experience, I have specialized in working with adolescents, young adults, and families across various settings, such as their homes, residential facilities, psychiatric hospitals, and now, in private practice.

Like many therapists, I am driven by the passion to support individuals on their path of self-discovery and personal growth. Through Flourish, my goal is to create an inclusive environment where everyone can feel accepted, secure, and free from judgment as they embark on this transformative journey. As a person of West Indian descent and a Christian, my culture and faith shape my identity. I have noticed a reluctance, in these settings, to acknowledge and seek assistance for mental health concerns.

In my role as a therapist, my aim is not to impose my beliefs or challenge anyone's faith, traditions, or values. Instead, I strive to provide a supportive space for addressing mental health issues while honoring these fundamental beliefs. My focus is on helping individuals navigate current obstacles, address past traumas, and break generational cycles of trauma. Recognizing that each individual's journey and objectives are unique, I prioritize a client-centered and collaborative method, utilizing adaptable treatment strategies and interventions. My objective is to help individuals reconcile societal expectations with their personal realities.
